I’m a brand strategist with over 20 years’ experience. I help organisations think of their brands as a system, which means I take brands that work like this:

And I develop them into coherent, compelling systems that people can relate to:

I began my career at Interbrand, where I led the brand valuation offer and have subsequently spearheaded the consultancy teams at Clear M&C Saatchi, Dragon Rouge and The Clearing. I’m a member of the UK Superbrands Council, as well as a regular conference speaker, contributor to marketing publications and author of three books on business, branding and sustainability.

I work with clients who don’t want a classic client-agency relationship; either because they have their own in-house creative team, or simply because they prefer to work with individuals rather than outsource their most exciting, transformative work to a consultancy or agency.

I also work with brand and design agencies to introduce more strategic rigour to their approach and develop stronger creative work their clients can execute with greater confidence.

Because ‘Nick Liddell Brand Strategy’ would have been boring.

And the first rule of great brand strategy is: Don’t be boring.
